Diagnostics

Exotic animals are really good in hiding symptoms of the disease, for that reason a physical examination may not be enough to find the source of the problem and further tests may be offered to identify patient's condition. The most common tests offered are:

•  blood test

•  faecal test

•  FNA (fine-needle aspiration)

•  ultrasound examination

•  radiographic examination

Depends on the specimen and type of the test, some preparation may be required. Certain tests can be performed under general anaethetic only, what will be discussed during the consultation.
